Well, WoW got ditched for Rift. The only time I was online was to raid or farm and the raiding...well, it was pure shit. Got Rift on a whim and don't regret it. There's been drama as with any MMO, but it's a fresh story and scene so it's a nice switch. With Rift came the need for a new comp. I was only getting 5 fps, 7 at best. Daddy was looking for a new comp so I talked him into buying me the new one and him taking mine. Mine wasn't in bad condition, just couldn't handle Rift. It came with Windows 7 @_@ so much better than Vista.

Yeah, if it's boring it means nothing bad is happening and that's always a good thing. I guess I can't say it's been boring really. Not when I've had a brand new Intuos4 setting in my lap. That's right, santa was really good to me this year! One of the greatest christmas presents from golem1 (https://www.deviantart.com/golem1). Even with that aside it was a good christmas. December has been a great month. I got those teeth that had been hurting pulled, kicking butt on WoW (I'll always get a laugh out of handing a palidin their ass...BM hunter FTW!), and the tablet.
I've got to get a little more money saved up and get a case. The cat makes me very paranoid he's goin

Please tell me again your recommendation, what to do about nibs wearing out on Wacom tablets.
I've finally bought myself a tablet, an Intuos Pro Large. It's not working yet; as expected, getting it to work on a Linux machine is not entirely a no-brainer. Being optimistic, I think maybe all I have to do is download the right driver from the Ubuntu/Wacom site.
If it works, you should soon see some freehand drawings from me, probably done in MyPaint.

I used to know what they were called, but the name isn't coming to mind right now! It's those clear plastic binder sleeves, I got mine at walmart. One makes two covers! And it's thin enough it won't mess up the pen movement.
Ah, I think it's coming back to me! It's basically a sheet of clear plastic covering the tablet, not covering the pen, right?

Ever think about making duck calls?
Just last week I learned about a TV series, "Duck Dynasty", which I gather is wildly popular. My nephew-in-law and his family watch it all the time.
Anyway, it's about a real family, who I gather got rich making duck calls. So there must be good money in duck calls, if you can make one that's better and/or cheaper. It can't be terribly complicated to make them. The trick is to make a duck call that works. Or maybe you can think of something else, something nobody is getting rich on yet.
